Council Plan

The City has developed a new strategic plan which outline the City's strategic and financial direction.

In June 2026, the City endorsed our Council Plan 2026-2036, which replaces the previously adopted Strategic Community Plan and Corporate Business Plan.

The Council Plan was developed as part of the overarching Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework, a State Government requirement outlined in the Local Government Reform Program.

The Council Plan sets out the City’s goals and priorities, while identifying the resources, projects, initiatives and frameworks required to deliver them.

Community engagement that has informed the City’s Council Plan was undertaken most recently through the Living in Canning survey with activations throughout November and December 2025.
