Disposal of Property – Lot 9000 No 300 Bannister Road, Canning Vale
Council, at its meeting held on 17 March 2026, resolved to support the disposal of portion of Lot 9000 No 300 Bannister Road, Canning Vale.
It is a requirement of section 3.58 of the Local Government Act 1995 that the City disclose the following information for public consideration:
The City of Canning proposes to lease a 5.13ha portion of land at Lot 9000 No 300 Bannister Road, Canning Vale to SAS WA Pty Ltd (trading as Soils aint Soils) for the consideration of $400,000 ex GST per annum for 5 years. The market value of this disposition was assessed in September 2024 at $790,000 ex GST per annum, however this valuation assumes that the land is developed to its highest and best land use.
Given the site constraints and lack of development of the land, Council has accepted this valuation as a true indication of the value of the proposed disposition, pursuant to Clause 3.58(4)(c)(ii) of the Local Government Act 1995.
