Holiday Watch Service

The City of Canning provides a "drive-by" service where ever possible for residents who are going on holidays or will be away from their home for an extended period of time.

Important information

• On request, the City's can perform regular patrols of your property while you are away from your property.
• A minimum of one (1) patrol will be conducted in each 24-hour period, either day or night.
• If any suspicious or abnormal activity is identified during the patrols, the City will contact the nominated key-holder.

Requirements for a request

Please ensure you meet the following criteria for requesting holiday watch patrols:

• requests may only be submitted within one week of the holiday/absence commencing
• a nominated Key-Holder is essential (including name, contact number, vehicle details)
• commercial properties are excluded from this service
• provide the City with the details of all vehicles that will be parked and/or visiting the property during that period (including Vehicle Registration Details)
• provide the City with the dates in which you will be on holidays/away
• service period is limited to a maximum of two (2) months.

Request

• Patrols will be conducted upon commencement of your holidays/absence.
• You will be notified of the outcome upon your return.
