Sign maintenance
Request maintenance to existing City signs, including street name signs.
Urgent requests
If a sign/post has fallen and is in a hazardous location, , please report it to the City by calling 1300 422 664. This will allow a City officer to respond with the highest priority.
City of Canning responsibility
The City is responsible for the maintenance of:
- bus zone signs
- parking restrictions, including within school zones
- all street name signs bearing the name of the street
- no through road signs
- scheme amendment signs
- directional signs
- signs within parks
- chevrons on roundabouts.
Main Roads responsibility
The Main Roads Department (13 81 38) are responsible for the following signs:
- Give Way and Stop signs
- signs on a square yellow pole
- roundabout (advanced warning signs on yellow poles)
- signs on main roads like Roe, Leach, Albany, South and Orrong
- school zone signs.
Transperth responsibility
Transperth (13 62 13) are responsible for their bus signs.

- To request sign maintenance, please select the sign type below.
- An officer will action within three (3) business days.
- Supply and install can take up to fifteen (15) working days to complete.
